Commissioned and premiered by the Oakland East Bay Symphony last April , my jazz infused symphonic composition “Double Identity” will be performed by the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra on October 15 & 16, 2011 under the baton of Michael Morgan with Brahms Second Symphony and Rachmaninoff 3rd Piano Concerto featuring pianist Olga Kern

OUTPATIENT is a stylish neo-noir thriller of duplicity, dance, and the descent into madness. When a soft-spoken young writer, Morris Monk (Justin Kirk – “Weeds”) – inadvertently committed to an asylum for years due to a systems glitch – is released into the “real” world, his writing begins to blur the boundaries of reality and paranoid hallucination. And his therapist, Dr. Patricia Farrow (Catherine Kellner) begins to suspect she has unleashed a ruthless murderer.

Premiere of “Double Identity” , a commissioned composition by the Oakland East Bay Symphony on April 16th, 2010 at the historic Paramount Theater in Oakland, CA.

My piece is one of four winners of the New Visions/New Vistas commissioning project, made possible by a grant from The James Irvine Foundation

Crossover Competition

My composition for 2 violins made it into the finals of this composition competition by the ViolinDuo in Germany. Among the 6 finalists selected from over 80 international submissions are:

The interesting part is that the audience will vote for the winner.
