Classical music and jazz always had a fascination for each other. In the 1930s Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt took on J.S.Bach’s famous double violin concerto to swing it Hot Club style. Later Duke Ellington gave Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Sugar Plum Fairy a new arrangement and the Klazz brothers took Mozart to Cuba. 1930s swing violinist Benny Brydern and his friends pay homage to the great Mozart,Bach,Schubert,Chopin and Puccini in their version of these classics. Joining Benny Brydern in this all star CD are guitarists John Reynolds and Raul Reynoso, bassist David Jackson and as featured guests Chloe Feoranzo on clarinet, Nick Mancini on vibes and Albert Alva on flute.
